PITTSBURGH, PA - The National Club Football Association (NCFA) released their 2017 preseason polls on Wednesday, September 6 and the Knights are in a familiar place starting out in the 2-spot behind the Oakland University Grizzlies who defeated the team in the NCFA Championship Game in 2016.  The Knights open the season in the top 4 for the fourth time since 2013.

The Knights are under a new head coach as Kiwaukee Thomas now heads up the program and will look to build on the Knights winning tradition.  Thomas is an alum from Perry High School and played for the Georgia Southern Eagles as well as spent nine years in the NFL.  He has been a coach at several colleges and at the high school level before returning to the middle Georgia area to head up the program this season.

The team will open the regular season on September 16th at home with a 6:00 PM kickoff against Georgia Prep Sports Academy.  Admission is $5.00 and the game will be at NeSmith Field located at 374 Georgia 87, Cochran, GA.  The Knights will play Texas A&T the following Saturday, September 23rd at 1:00 PM then hit the road early in October before returning home for games on October 21 and 28 before ending the regular season on November 4.  

The Knights are looking to defend their South Atlantic Conference (SAC) Championship after winning their 4th in five seasons in 2016 and hope to make another trip to the NCFA Playoffs.  The SAC is made up of Columbus State along with two new members with the University of Florida and the University of Ft Lauderdale.  You can visit for a full schedule and more information.
