KANSAS CITY, MO - The NAIA National Office announced the 2016-17 Scholar-Team Awards on Tuesday and the Middle Georgia State University Knights had 5 of 10 programs earn a spot on the list.  The award is given annually to teams that have a GPA of 3.00 or higher for the combined team members for the given year.  Of the five teams to earn the honor, the Knights Women's Tennis Program had the highest team GPA at 3.56.  The other four teams were:  Men's Tennis 3.43, Women's Cross Country 3.36, Softball 3.26, and Women's Soccer 3.26.  

The full list of schools from across the nation can be found here.  The top spot for GPA was a tie between three teams with a 3.90 GPA: Arizona Christian Women's Cross Country, Indiana Tech Women's Golf, and Midland (Neb.) Women's Volleyball.
