KANSAS CITY, MO - The NAIA announced the 45 teams headed to the 9 Opening Round locations for the NAIA Baseball Championship Opening Round on Thursday and the Knights are headed to the Lima Bracket in Lima, OH.  The host school is the Univeristy of Northwestern Ohio who also holds the 1-seed.  The Knights are the 2-seed in the bracket and will play their first game on Monday May 15 at 3:00 PM.  The Knights will face the 5-seed Midway (KY) in their first game.  The 3-seed is Hope International (CA) and will face MidAmerica Nazarene (KS) in the other matchup.  

The Knights take the 2-seed as an At-Large selection and are 43-14 headed into the Lima Bracket.  The 1-seeded Racers won the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) to earn their spot and are 43-10 on the season while ranked 7th in the NAIA.  The 3-seed is Hope International who were another At-Large selection at 32-15 out of the Golden State Athletic Conference (GSAC) and received votes in the final poll.  4th-seed MidAmerica Nazarene was the champion of the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) with a record of 34-18.  The 5th-seeded Midway Eagles finished the season at 28-28 but won 4 of their 5 games in the Red River Conference (RRC) Tournament to claim the automatic bid from the RRC.
