Shaketa Hodges reaches 1300 points in her career here at Middle Georgia.

Cochran, GA – Tonight Knight's Guard Shaketa Hodges (SR/Macon, GA) would have the chances to reach and surpass 1300 points in her Middle Georgia State career only needing 5 points. The Knights would be facing former conference foe Auburn University- Montgomery.

Shaketa Hodges didn't wait long to reach that milestone and with the Knights first two shots she would make a 3-ponter and then one from inside of the arch. This milestone reached seems to have pumped up the Knights offense and they would score a total of 23 points in the first. The Knights would be 9-17 from the field, and 5-9 from 3-point, and would be up 23-11 at the end of the first quarter.

The Knights though would have to battle the rest of the game and would be outscored in the remaining three-quarter 51-44. The Knights biggest lead in the game would be 18 points with 4:54 seconds left in the second quarter even though being out the scoring in three-quarters.

The Knights would be tied in the fourth quarter with 1:25 left in the game and the night couldn't have ended any better. Shaketa would drain a 3-point shot to capture the lead and to help push the Knights to a 67-62 win over Auburn University-Montgomery.

The Knights next game will be away against Brenau University on Thursday night.
